Planning

For this applied project, I picked the subject of family as a documentary and was partnered with other animators James and Molly that chose the subject of family. We had decided to do a documentary about the death of James's father, this is because we felt that creating a made up story would be uninteresting and the ideas that would come from creating this story would be limited. This is the main reason why we wanted to use a real life event because we felt that we would have more of a connection with a real life subject and could tell more about it using the knowledge from our experiences.

Our roles have been divided up and I have decided to work as the creative character designer, story boarder and illustrator working with the presentation of the animation because everyone in the group felt that I was really strong in this area.
