Sound animation feedback

My general feedback for my visual language sound animation was that they were not very synced with the sounds I chose. The animations were not able to follow through in between and just kept jumping back which made the animations generally unclean. This is just summarising all the animations a part from one together because they were said to be too much the same in the aspect that they repeat a lot and aren't very free flowing.

e.g. "I like how you've used the jagged lines and think its a good representation. However, I don't think that it represents the sound well. It be good to see you sync with the sound better"

The only animation that worked was the the very last animation called "Dot-5" which communicated the effect of the shapes very well in the its movement and flickering in colour all over which symbolically communicated the feel of the sound alarm number (016.aif) in fine busy dots which works well.

e.g.

  • "Dots were a really good representation"
  • "Rapid movement also worked really well"
  • "Would have been nice to see more dots though"

Stated by Emma - "Dot 5, Best one !"

My aim over all in react to the feedback would be to revisit what I have and change the drawings in relation to the drawings and make them continuous and not so jumpy, it needs to continue and run smoothly so I would focus on creating a new shape that communicates the feel of the sound and makes it obvious and would mainly focus on the sound I have chosen and why, focus on its feel and sounds with in to produce a better sound synced animation.
