Saul Bass


Saul Bass was an American Graphic designer who's career has spanned over 40 years, he is mostly know for his famous title sequences for The man in the Golden Arm (1955), North by North West (1959) and psycho. The shower scene with in psycho is said to be created and owes its success to saul Bass due to his graphic design and storyboards for the film its self.

Bass develop logos for designs for Bell (1969), Kleenex (1980s) and AT&T (1986), he worked mostly on films and advertising until his major break designing a poster for 1954 film Carmen Jones. The film makers were very impressed with his work so they invited him to design the artwork for their title sequences, which was said to have turned out to be a game changing decision.
